Margarita March

Byron Bay’s premier cocktail bar Balcony Bar & Oyster Co. is hosting the town’s first ever
Margarita Festival for the month of March. To celebrate the traditional Mexican drink, a
specialty cocktail menu has been crafted by the mixologists behind the balcony bar and the
month will now forever be known as Margarita March.

The team at Balcony Bar & Oyster Co. have also partnered with Bars March to raise some
much needed funds for the Animal Welfare League of Australia. One dollar from every Blood
Hound Margarita featuring blood orange juice (yum!) will be donated to the cause so be
sure to #haveadrinksaveadog.

The Margarita March Menu features a twist to suit every taste bud with all drinks featuring quirky dog themed cocktails such as:

The Mezcal Mutt
Monte Alban Mescal, 1800 Coconut tequila, Malibu, lime juice, coconut syrup & toasted coconut flakes.

Melon Collie
El Jimador Reposado, Vok triple sec, lime, cold pressed watermelon juice, agave nectar.

Pomeranian
El Jimador Blanco, Pama pomegranate, lime and agave nectar.

Chihuahua
Jalapeño infused El Jimador Reposado, Vok triple sec, lime juice, muddled cilantro & cold press cucumber.

Blood Hound
El Jimador Blanco, blood orange Cointreau, Lime, blood orange juice.

Now for the purists who just can’t go past the classics, the iconic Byron Bay bar has $15
margies all day every day for you. Or if you’re a real margarita maven, Balcony Bar & Oyster Co have top shelf option just for you called The Regal Beagle which is made with Don Julio Anejo, Dry Curacao and lime.

If you need any other reason to try out the delicious drinks at Margarita March, The AWL is a stand up charity to support. The Animal Welfare League provide expert care to
surrendered, neglected or abandoned companion animals across NSW and QLD. Their
visions is that all companion animals in NSW have a safe and loving home. They strive for
this through work in rehoming, education and discount desexing programs. They also send
out inspectors to investigate allegations of animal cruelty and are committed to achieving
zero euthanasia of healthy, treatable cats and dogs.
