The Woodchop Carnival and Fish n Chips Festival is commencing tonight, Saturday January 12, with a fireworks display at 9pm.
The Woodchop Carival will be hosting the Australian titles from January 16 until the following Saturday the 19th. Along with the Woodchop competition, there will be a week of activities and events held by various community groups including the fishing competition.
This year there will also be the Brunswick Valley Fish n Chips Athletics Carnival, sponsored by Brunswick Heads Bowling Club and Brunswick-Byron Athletics Club on Sunday January 13 at the Lofts Oval Brunswick Heads Sports Fields.

Furthermore, Brunswick Heads will be hosting Australia Day celebrations including live music and a BBQ breakfast in the Banner Park on the 26th of January.
