World famous improvising legends and one of Australia’s greatest cult band, The Necks, will be performing at the Byron Bay Community Centre on February 6. The three-piece group is renowned worldwide for their immersive, hypnotic concert experiences, and have created 16 albums, the most recent, AETHER, released in 2012.
Last year they completed two full tours of the UK and Europe, gaining a large collection of positive reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Financial Times, with Ivan Hewitt from the Telegraph stating that the music is a “vast sound-mass suspended in vast vibrating, seething stillness, its colour and luminosity changing slowly, like a landscape observed from a car…”
The Necks adhere to the philosophy of “letting the music take care of itself”, creating a truly unique concert experience every time.
