Lone Goat Gallery presents, ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ by Ian Thomas

OPENING LATE: 7 – 9PM FRIDAY 16 FEB
WITH A PERFORMANCE BY QING MIBILAHM

‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ is a joyous celebration of our vibrant and diverse queer community by acclaimed artist Ian Thomas. It is an ode to the power of love, resilience and the solidarity emerging from shared experiences.

Highlighting often overlooked narratives, the work references the transformative energy and boundless creativity of the Northern Rivers queer communities.

In a shared space of colour and exhilaration, Thomas acknowledges the fearlessness of queer elders who paved the way, the unity of coming together and the strength that comes from being unapologetically, authentically, and joyfully ourselves.

The exhibition also has a display of documents and images relating to Tropical Fruits and the wider queer history of the Northern Rivers from the archives of local community historian, Ian ‘Teacosy’ Gray.

Bring your rainbow spirit and enjoy a night of art, music, drinks and food, plus a special guest performance by Qing Mibilahm.

All welcome.
