Dynasty 8 is the Byron Shire’s newest chamber choir, featuring 8 of the most experienced singers in this area.
Directed by Elizabeth Swain this concert includes several rather complicated and very short songs about bird life – including Sweet Suffolk Owl, The Blue Bird, The Silver Swan and The Nightingale, as well as some Benjamin Britten, a gossip song about French husbands (Il est Bel et Bon), a few Russian and German folk songs and a song about a cricket.
This is about the most eclectic programme you could imagine: the concert will also include piano duets, a couple of soloists, and a poem.
All in a drop dead gorgeous venue, with champagne and morsels of food thrown in.
