Crankfest Opportunity for Young Artists

This year marks the 10th birthday of Crankfest Xtreme, the region’s largest celebration of youth culture and arts!

Leading up to the festival in April, Crankfest are offering an awesome opportunity for young artists to learn more about the arts industry in a free workshop with professional artist and mentor Karma Barnes and an opportunity to exhibit work at the festival.

Crankfest will be held on April 18 in Evans Head, and will continue with popular activities such as the surf and skate comps.

“After talking to young people at last year’s Crankfest it was clear they want to see more visual arts as part of the celebration.” Crankfest co-ordinator Wade MacKinnon said.

“This is a great opportunity for our talented young people to learn the skills they will need as well as showing their community what they can do.”

CrankArts is funded through the Country Arts Support Program by Regional Arts NSW.
