Peddle & Hawk Acacia Street Markets are now open on the last Saturday of every month. Thanks to our lovely volunteers and a creative new event, you can now shop and select a volunteer shift on the last Saturday of each month from 10am-3pm. Set to launch with a BANG on Saturday 30 May.
Bringing the arts industry estate to life with ‘mini’ market stalls selling local arts, fashion, craft, homegrown goodies, street food and gourmet treats, vintage, up-cycled and recycled items. Peddle and Hawk is a unique local market set up across art studios, galleries, and creative shopfronts in Acacia and Banksia St in Byron Bay.
The CO*OP operates as a sub-committee of Kulchajam (a non-profit organisation). While this differs from many traditional CO*OPs that are stand-alone entities, we have still been guided by the international 7 cooperative principles.
We believe in supporting local economic development and enterprise. Whether you grow fruit and veggies or make tempeh, tofu, jams and sauces, you are welcome to share your produce. Come in with your goods to swap or sell – its up to you!
Have Your Own Stall
Do you create something artistic? Recycle or up-cycle vintage clothes and wares? Perhaps you grow your own food or make some home-made products like kombucha, kefir, jams and preserves?
We are inviting you to be part of a new accessible ‘small stall’ marketplace aimed to inspire you to get your ideas out there. And held in our much-loved Kulchajam space.
So, if you have a blanket, a table and some goods for sale, bring them along and be part of the creative fun!
