Byron Bay is a popular Schoolie Week destination, less busy & structured than Schoolies on the Gold Coast, but still attracting many thousands of school leavers.
Groups start organising their schoolies week EARLY with inquiries for accommodation starting as early as 18+ months in advance.
There are two main types of accommodation for groups of schoolies.
Renting a whole house or staying in a managed complex. It’s been our experience that staying in a managed complex alows you to fully enjoy your schoolies week without the pitfalls that can arise when renting a house.
When you stay in a complex the whole complex is full of other schoolies, they have on-site managers and security, and there are no near neighbours to disturb.
If you saty in a whole house, someone in your group will act as manager/security which can spoil their fun. Neighbours, agents, owners, police, etc come to talk to you if things get out of hand.
