About face in Byron

In preparation for the warmer months Osprey Spa at Elements of Byron has a suite of special events and treatments to help us feel our best.

Open since February as a sanctuary for wellness within Byron Bay’s new world class beachfront resort Elements of Byron, Osprey Spa comprises five therapy suites with private courtyard gardens, including a couples suite with double shower and round outdoor stone bathing tub. There is a stillness and recovery zone, a light filled mani pedi courtyard, an Issada make up station and a retail space where you can sample or purchase natural treats like Dr Jean D Laing’s hydraceutical range developed for LaGaia and Issada’s treatment make-up range.

Designed by Rowena Cornwell from Coop Creative, the Spa features giant pots aged under the Aegean Sea from the set of the upcoming Pirates of the Carribean Dead Men Tell No Tales movie and custom built timber furniture reflective of driftwood on the adjacent beach. “The palette is bleached and sun kissed” outlined Cornwell. “Overlaid with a soft pinky haze like the sunset across Belongil Beach”. And with a menu covering pranayama and meditation, yoga, crystal bowl healing, make-up application, a plethora of massage, body therapy and facial treatments and spa rituals such as Soul Temple and Oceanic Destress, Osprey Spa has become a destination in itself for locals and visitors to Byron Bay.

On Friday 23rd September join Australian mineral make up label Issada for make up Masterclasses at Osprey Spa. The focus will be on creating a fresh daytime look using techniques of contouring, highlighting, bronzing and face sculpting to achieve complexion perfection. Classes will run for 90 minutes at 1:30pm, 3:00pm and 4:30pm. Sip champagne, nibble on cheese platters and learn from those in the know. A booking fee of $45 is required however this fee is redeemable upon purchase of Issada product on the day. Loved by women who value the health of their skin including Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Naomi Watts and Gwyneth Paltrow, Issada contains pharmaceutical grade minerals, organic botanicals, collagen and peptides to treat the skin.
