A new festival coming to Lismore aims to turn the CBD into a bustling street food festival and open-air beer garden for an afternoon/evening of delicious food and live music.
Thirty restaurants from the CBD and some neighboring Lismore have been invited to leave their regular menus in the kitchen and cook a street food dish that reflects their culture and the very essence of what they love about food.
“We are expecting some really exciting dishes… this is a chance for local restaurateurs to forget what the punters expect and instead create something unexpected and extraordinary, It’s a chance for them to put their passion on a plate.”
Lismore City Centre Manager Jason Mumford
The free event promises live music, an open-air beer garden and plenty of mouth-watering street food and other creative exhibitors will attract people to the CBD and create a buzzing atmosphere on one of summer’s last long afternoons.

Eat the Street is on Saturday, 14 March, from midday to 8pm and will include a special children’s area, some street game competitions such as handball, table tennis and other fun activities as well as a cooking stage with celebrity chefs Clayton Donovan and Jody Vassallo.
