Whale Day at Cape Byron June 7

Celebrate the start of whale watching season at Cape Byron Lighthouse on Saturday June 7!

Whale watching season is here, so join us for Whale Day at Cape Byron State Conservation Area to celebrate one of nature’s greatest annual migrations. With recent sightings of humpback whale pods below Cape Byron Lightouse, you can join a tour to climb to the top of the lighthouse. There’ll be lighthouse tours, whale counts, whale watching information and activities for the kids.

Lightouse tours are available every 20 minutes from 10am to 4pm. Take advantage of the 360 degree views from the most easterly point on the Australian mainland – and keep your eye out for humpback whales breaching and frolicking in the Pacific Ocean.

Saturday 7 June 2014, 10am to 4pm
