Built from the stories of young people from this region ‘Two Stones, One Bird’ explores the emotive journey of youth changing themselves and the world
around them and how they define their responsibilities as citizens of this earth.

Thought provoking and highly entertaining this show fuses dance from traditional Indigenous, African to contemporary and Hip Hop, live musicians, DJs,
aerial and acrobatics in a unique and innovative way. The use of multimedia and a deeply personal narrative tie all these fusions together engaging the audience in a captivating and moving performance.

The show features well known local artists including Dhinawan Dreaming & Rythm Konnections and all the way from Far North Queensland the Indigenous
circus troupe the ‘Blackrobats’. Youth from across the whole Northern Rivers are also involved as performers.

This is a powerful theatre piece with innovative artistic collaborations produced by the Creative Peoples Collective in partnership with the Australia Council for the Arts.

  1. HI I loved the two birds on stone show! I was wanted to find out who taught the contempory dance piece in the show? I was very inspired to want to learn contempory dance! but could not seem to find out which school or treacher it was?
If anyone could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated :)
