The 125th Anniversary North Coast National. October 21 – 23.

The 125th anniversary North Coast National (Lismore Show) opens Thursday October 21 and promises to be the Northern Rivers’ best value day out, packed with free family events, top Australian music acts, arts  and crafts, the best rodeo riders in the country, food and wine….and 125 years of Show tradition.
There’s something for everyone in 2010.

UNDER THE TENT has a huge line up over three days culminating in one of the best rock gigs around on Saturday 23rd, headlined by the legendary Ed Kuepper. And the gig is FREE once you’ve purchased your North Coast National ticket.

Every night in the ring, the Arena Spectacular takes place at 7.30pm. The largest production ever mounted by the North Coast National, it’s a stunning tribute to our Local Heroes, our emergency services and volunteers who daily do extraordinary things.  The Arena Spectacular, supported by 9002LM, features hundreds of local performers and emergency services workers and volunteers. And then, at 8.30pm, the whole family will love the nightly fireworks presented by George & Fuhrmann and Queensland Country Life.

Not to be missed is the Full Point score Rodeo in the Rodeo Arena on Friday and Saturday October 22 and 23 from 1pm – 6pm. See Australia’s top rodeo riders in action as they vie for points to take them into the National Finals to be held on the Gold Coast in January

The Fine Arts pavilion will have an amazing display of local produce and crafts, including needlework, farm produce, coffee, horticulture, rural youth display, baking show, apiculture, fruit and vegetables, photography, bonsai, orchids, decorated cakes, cooking, scrapbooking, ceramics and porcelain art.

A major feature again in 2010 is the Sustainable Living Expo, supported by Southern Cross University.  Learn how to reduce your environmental footprint and see what state of the art innovations are happening locally.

In keeping with Show tradition, there’s Beef Cattle,  Championship Cats and Dogs, Cattle Dogs, Dairy Cattle (supported by Norco), Goats, Horse events, Sheep, Poultry and Pigeons, the Woodchop, Bute Utes, Guinea Pigs and more.
