PAN: Size Does Matter at Lone Goat Gallery

PAN: Size Does Matter
May 26 until June 14 2017
Opening Friday May 26 6PM – 8PM
Lone Goat Gallery – 28 Lawson St, Byron Bay NSW 2481

PAN is a locally based artists’ network committed to visual arts in the Byron Shire, and provides a forum for support and networking between artists. As a non-profit incorporated association, PAN offers support services to local artists that includes exhibitions, advocacy and promotion of artist’s practice.

Featuring more than 30 PAN artists, the theme of the exhibition is Size Does Matter. Whilst the works all carry diverse narratives, they are of the same relatively small size (60cm x 60cm) and express a harmony and consistency to illustrate that Size Does Matter.

The varied narratives of the artworks also challenge the notion of size: from the size of an artist’s paint-box to the size of a pounding ocean.

Utilising a broad range of materials and media, the artworks on exhibition present each artist’s individual narrative within a consistent size. The exhibition is a showcase of the creative diversity of the artists within PAN.
