NORPA are keen to hear your stories and experiences (contemporary or historical) of any of the community halls in the Byron Shire.
Whether it be a 21st birthday party that went wrong, a cracker wedding, a love story, a recent experience or a legendary tale you’ve heard connected to local hall. No story is too small!
The stories will feed into the next phase of research and development for their new show Dreamland that will be performed at the beautiful Eureka Hall, 23 November- 3 December. NORPA is one of the creative teams that will be activating local halls across the region as part of Arts Northern Rivers ‘If These Halls Could Talk’ project.
“We are working from the ground up to tap into local stories and characters to devise this new fictional work,” said Dreamland director and NORPA’s Artistic Director Julian Louis. “I think this research phase gives us a unique quality that connects us with our audience'”
Combining physical theatre, dance, drama and music Dreamland celebrates the universal stories of our community halls across time.
