Festival of the Stone 2017

Join Stone & Wood for a night that celebrates community, live music and the release of their 2017 Stone Beer while raising money for Liberation Larder and Bay FM

Stone & Wood are stoked to announce this year’s Festival of the Stone on Sunday, 11 June, 4-10pm (Queen’s Birthday long weekend, NSW ) at their brewery in Byron Bay.

Come along and kick back as the sun sets and the music pumps, with your friends and family at the annual event that celebrates the release of their dark Winter seasonal ‘Stone Beer’.

After last year’s anticipated music line-up, the brewery has announced rock band Kingswood will headline the night, alongside Polish Club, MT Warning, Your Mates DJ and a favourite among kids young and old, Bunny Racket.

A mouth-watering line up of food trucks have been locked in that’ll keep the slow food crowd stoked and the vegos feeling full and nourished, including JR’s Smokehouse, Baylato, Pizza Loca, Pearl of the Quarter, The Backyard Chef and more.

To wash it all down, Stone & Wood will be pouring their beers, including the first kegs of 2017 Stone Beer. Brewed four weeks early, the beer honours the ancient techniques of brewing. By adding wood fired stones to the kettle to rouse the boil, the malt characters are intensified, which contributes to the beer’s roasted caramel aroma that’s balanced with a warming, full bodied cocoa flavour… perfect for a cold Winter’s night!

All profits from the beer sales and tickets will go directly to Liberation Larder and Bay FM through Stone & Wood’s Ingrained Community Program. Last year the event raised over $11k for the Northern Rivers Community Foundation, Bay FM and Clean Coast Collective and this year, Stone & Wood is hoping to be able to donate a similar amount.

Family friendly, the festival is about bringing the community together. There will be a kid’s area and everyone’s encouraged to have a dance alongside the children when Bunny Racket kicks off their set.

To find out when tickets will be available for purchase via Eventbrite, sign-up to the festival’s website, www.festivalofthestone.com.
