Its a new day, a new dawn….and DrSketchys has moved venues! We are now ensconced in the BYRON THEATRE , in the Byron Community Centre, and its going to be a bohaemian blast for all our loyal Art-monkey fans! This January we visit Sin City with ‘FEAR AND LOATHING IN VINTAGE VEGAS’
January 14th will in fact be a spectacle of epic proportions in the spirit of old Vegas’ CIRCUS CIRCUS CASINO made famous by Gonzo legend HUNTER S THOMPSON …..thanks to the visiting awesomeness that is MISS FRIBY and her troupe of outrageous Gypsy Vixens.
MISS FRIBY and the gang are on a massive East Coast tour, so DrSketchy is thrilled to be able to present their own surreal and sultry brand of Cabaret goodness. We guarantee a very special night of unique performance and dance that you wont forget, and there will be more exotic models than you can poke a crayon at!
MAE WILDE will MC this eye-popping night with her customary anarchic flourish! There will be prizes, live music, fruity language, retro-tunes, food, drinks , frenzied drawing, stunning performances and ramshakle post-modern mayhem!
Doors open at 6.00pm, the session starts at 6.30pm, and entry is $20 at the door. Its an Over-18s event as well, so leave the kiddies at home! Dress in your finest Cabaret or Hunter S Thomson gear, bring your friends whether drawing or not!! and take your own art materials for a fantastic night of creativity and madness.
