The fourth annual Sample Food Festival is shaping up to be the biggest one yet. The one-day event, held at Bangalow Showground, attracts over 10,000 visitors from all over the country. It is the premier food event in Northern NSW this year taking place on Saturday 13 September. There are over 200 exhibitors to browse and taste as well as all day family entertainment. Entry is free.
Three ticketed events before festival day are well on the way to selling out.

FOOD & ART- Come To The Heart -Lismore will host a conversation with celebrated Indigenous chef Clayton Donovan and artist Digby Moran for a food and art evening in the Back Alley Gallery.
Enjoy canapés and a drink on arrival. All proceeds to the local drug and rehabilitation Centre.
WHERE: In the Back Alley Gallery, Eggins Lane – (off Carrington Street) Lismore CBD
$25 per person with all proceeds to charity.

Clean Living Lunch

Luke and Scott were finalists in My Kitchen Rules, 2013 and have since published their first book, ‘Clean Living Cookbook’, and appear at health forums and conferences.
Sam is Australias leading Spa Chef and a Byron local.

The Italian Feast with Darren Simpson and Alex Herbert
Darren Simpson is one of Australia’s finest Italian hatted chefs. He is presenter of The Best In Australia (Series 1, 2 & 3), has regular guest appearances on Sunrise and Ready Steady Cook and judges on My Kitchen Rules.
Alex Herbert has spent many years in well-known restaurants including her own and now successfully operates her business Bird Cow Fish out of Sydney. She is a Delicious magazine produce award judge and an advocate for farmers and growers all over the country.
The pair will team up with local chefs Gavin Hughes, Sarah Swan, Monique Guterres, Victoria Cosford and the Salumi Australia boys.

Lead up Competition
Sample Food Festival and Australian Macadamias are running a competition leading up to this years Festival. You are invited to submit a recipe using macadamias for the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes worth $1000. The winner will be cooking the winning recipe with a celebrity chef on stage at Sample Food Festival, 13 September. It can be a snack, breakfast, lunch or a dinner recipe and open to all ages.
