Byron’s Golden Ticket – Your Ticket to the Best of the Best of Byron’s Events

The Visitor Industry Association, Byron Shire (VIA Byron) has launched Byron’s Golden Ticket, a competition where people can purchase tickets for $10 and go in the draw to win double passes to seven iconic events in the Shire valued at over $3500.

The festivals are Splendour in the Grass, Byron Bay Writers Festival, Sample Food Festival, Boomerang Festival, Mullum Music Festival, Byron International Film Festival and BluesFest.

“This is the visitor industry looking at how it can resource itself. It’s a raffle run by the industry for the industry with an amazing prize only possible in Byron Shire,” said Cameron Arnold, chair VIA Byron.

This is a “winner takes all” with the prize bringing together some of Byron’s greatest assets, live music, food, writing and film and if for some reason the winner can’t attend an event the tickets are transferable so a lucky family member or friend could step in and take their place.

“It’s fantastic to have the support of these local festivals and events who have come on board with VIA Byron to help promote our region, as well as the local businesses who are selling the tickets,” said Mr Arnold.

“We have some of Australia’s best festivals on our doorstep and this year we have put together seven of them for two lucky people to experience. Next year we expect even more festivals as part of the ticket prize”.

VIA Byron includes representatives from throughout Byron Shire including Byron Shire Council, the Brunswick Visitor Centre, the Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce, the Byron Visitor Centre, Byron United, Business Ashored (Ocean Shores) and the Bangalow Chamber of Commerce. The body will represent the shire’s visitor industry at a local, State and Federal level.

Entries in Byron’s Golden Ticket close 15th July 2013 and the winner will be drawn on 16th July 2013. Tickets are available online or from supporter local businesses in the region listed on the website.
