Byron Writers Festival Sunday Locals passes on sale 13 June.

Byron Writers Festival and First National Byron are thrilled to be partnering again to offer Sunday Locals Passes to the local community. The discounted ticket is for entry to the festival on Sunday 11 August and is priced at $99, a saving of $41 on the full ticket price. The offer is exclusively available to residents of the Byron, Ballina, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Tweed Council areas.

Chilled, relaxed and filled with laughter on the last day, Sunday is the perfect opportunity to experience the atmosphere and get a taste of this wonderful event. Sunday Locals’ Passes will be available for purchase from 9am Thursday 13 June. Tickets can be purchased online at, over the phone or in person at Byron Writers Festival’s office. This is a limited release offer and will be available until sold out, so get in quick! Purchasers will need to present proof of address at entry to the festival and are limited to a maximum of two tickets per person.

Byron Writers Festival has made its first announcement of authors including international bestsellers Trent Dalton and Jane Harper; acclaimed writer and farmer Bruce Pascoe; Booker Prize winner Richard Flanagan; Irish novelist Caoilinn Hughes; PEN award-winning author and poet Nam Le; playwright and novelist Suzie Miller; investigative journalist and debut novelist Louise Milligan; and local speculative fiction writer Mykaela Saunders. This first announcement of celebrated guests gives a taste of things to come with the full program of more than 160 writers, thinkers and commentators to be revealed on 19 June.
