Byron Resort Needs 100 New Staff

Byron Bay’s new absolute beachfront resort, Elements of Byron, is hiring. Opening on February 1st, the resort is now seeking to recruit up to 100 new staff to join their team.

“We are going local first” said General Manager Leon Pink. “The jobs will be advertised nationally after that and we expect a fair response. So please, if you think you have something to offer us, get in touch and keep the work local”.

Positions can be viewed at www.elementsofbyron.com.au/careers, where there is a facility to upload your resume online. The team at Elements of Byron have created a video to share with potential employees, which can be viewed here also. A celebration of Byron culture and hospitality, the video provides a sneak peak at the resort offering.

“Recruiting so many staff is a huge task” said Leon Pink. “So we are calling on the local community to help us. Please, share our video. Tell your friends and neighbours about the positions available. If you have a vibrant spirit and are seeking your next adventure, we invite you to contact us about joining our team. We are offering strong learning and development opportunities and the chance to build a career in hospitality”.

Elements of Byron is an absolute beachfront resort on fifty acres at Northbeach, Belongil, accessed via Bayshore Drive over the railway line. Nearing completion are 94 private 1 and 2 bedroom villas and the resort facilities which include a five suite garden spa, two unique restaurant offerings, private dining room, casual terrace dining with wood fired oven, lobby bar with sunken fire pit, kiosk for public beach access and substantial conference, wedding and events spaces both indoor and out. Overnight guests will enjoy possibly Australia’s most luxurious infinity lagoon pool precinct.

The private villas are set amidst the four endemic site ecologies of rainforest, wetland, eucalypt and dunal, which has inspired the colour schemes and finishes. Each villa has its own unique outlook, some of the beach, others over the central Lagoon. Three pavilions make up the central facilities area, a uniquely sensual space with its curved roof inspired by the sand dunes on the north eastern boundary of the resort.

“We understand that we are very privileged to be operating a world class resort on this site” said Leon Pink. “We have created experiences for guests to let them know about the four unique ecologies present here. We have created subtle learning tools, through our landscape design, our in-room iPad information brochures, our guided walks, our signage and lighting, our artworks, the intention behind our interiors, in fact behind every design decision. What we now need is ambassadors to tell the story. Through their work, through their spirit and passion, through their smiles hopefully. A business is nothing without people and we are short around 100 at present”.
