BBFF2023 opens with the World Premiere of “The Edge of Nature” directed by acclaimed filmmaker Josh Fox – joining you from New York. Known for his influential film “Gasland”, which ignited global awareness about fracking and inspired local anti-fracking initiatives, Fox continues to be a champion for environmental causes.

The film, both personal and universal, explores Fox’s journey through Covid, intergenerational trauma, and calls for urgent action against climate change, capturing his signature blend of humor, empathy, and resilience throughout the process. This work is not only about personal healing but also underlines the inseparable bond between individual well-being and the health of the planet. The film is a tribute to the indomitable human spirit and a fitting opener for the festival celebrating life and Earth.

Be part of the buzz that sets the stage for a 10-day cultural extravaganza that’s the talk of the town.
