Bangalow Public School’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

It’s on again! Bangalow Public School’s annual Mad Hatter’s Derby Tea Party is held on the same day as Bangalow Billycart Derby, Sunday 15 May. All the fun of a classic school fete, kids can play between derby races while families relax in the school grounds enjoying carnival-style games, activities and sampling delicious sweet and savoury food.

The cornerstone of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party event is the famous raffle with its trove of sensational prizes including a luxury 10-day trip for two to China worth $7,000! Raffle tickets are available through Bangalow Public School families, at the school office or via ticket sellers at market days leading up to the Mad Hatter’s.

All funds raised contribution to funding high-quality classroom resources to support curriculum based learning and the creative arts, as well as contribute towards resources to promote the recreation and welfare of the students.

“We enjoy seeing the kids having fun on this great community day and are always humbled by the generosity of our parents and broader community in their support of the school,” said Bangalow Public School Principal Susie Boyle.

In 2015, fundraising went towards helping fund the school’s vision to provide high-quality 21st century education through the purchase of laptop computers, iPads, home and guided readers, coding/robotics equipment, as well as the purchase of materials to build a multi-purpose deck around a large tree in the school grounds.

Join us for the Mad Hatter’s Derby Tea Party, a fun family haven held on Billycart Derby Day, Sunday 15 May between 9am to 3pm at Bangalow Public School grounds.
