In the lead up to Homelessness Week 2023, there are more than 680 cafes across Australia taking part in CafeSmart (1 – 7 August) to help raise funds for their local homeless charities. This annual event has been running since 2011 and has raised close to $2 million for grassroots homeless charities in both metropolitan and regional areas of Australia.
With participating cafés donating $1 per coffee sold on Friday 4 August, coffee lovers around Byron Bay can do good by simply grabbing their morning coffee from a participating venue, and when possible, by donating the cost of their coffee forward to CafeSmart.

The Coffee Club – 3 stores
And as an example of where raised funds could be distributed, last year CafeSmart donations helped provide vital funding support to Liberation Larder.
