Byron Bay Guitar Festival FAQ’s

Where is it?
Byron Bay Brewery, 1 Skinners Shoot Rd, Byron Bay.
The Brewery WILL NOT be open to the public Sat 6 – Sun 7 October. It will be open to ticket holders to the festival only.

Will tickets be available at the door?
There will be a limited amount of tickets available at the door, however they’re selling fast, so we recommend pre-purchasing on-line to avoid disappointment.

How much are tickets?
$50 for one day or $90 for two days.
A festival ticket gives you access to all performances as well as the guitar masterclasses on Sunday.

When do doors open?
Saturday 1pm
Sunday 10:30am

Is there parking?
There is limited free parking located on the western side of the brewery, and limited paid parking in Butler Street. Please note that it is school holidays so traffic might be heavy. We recommend alternative transport arrangements. If you have to drive, please carpool where you can.

Venue Courtesy Bus
For group bookings of up to 10 pax please call the Brewery on 02 6639 6100  to arrange the courtesy bus prior to the event.

Go Byron – Special BBGF shuttles and discounts
Go Byron Taxis are kindly offering BBGF patrons a 15% discount on their fare when they download the Go Byron App and type in the code BYRONGUITAR when placing an order.

Also on Sat + Sunday nights they will be running $5 Night Rider shuttles picking up from the Brewery to either Byron CBD, Suffolk Park or Sunrise. Rock On guitar lovers and Ride Safe with Go Byron.

Is it all ages?
Hell yeah! People of all ages should enjoy this jam. Children under 12 get in FREE! Bonus!
Please note: As the festival is held in a licensed venue, all patrons under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the festival.

What food is available?
The Brewery has a mouth-watering menu with all the pub classics and specials, as well as tea and coffee. Plenty of vego options too. We’re warning you though, the fries are addictive.

When are the guitar markets on?
Sunday ONLY from 11am.

When are the masterclasses and workshops on?
Sunday ONLY from 11am. There is LIMITED SEATING in the theatre and it works on a first in, best-dressed basis. No reserved seating available. Please be kind and give up your seat for your elders, pregnant women and mobility impaired patrons.

When & where is the Bay Fm broadcast?
It will start at Byron Music 144 Jonson Street, Byron Bay at 9am Saturday 6 October as part of Byron Music’s pre-fest MEGA DOOR BUSTER SALE. BBGF artists will be there having a chat with the BayFm crew, before they head over to the festival at 2pm!

Daylight Savings
Remember that Daylight Savings starts 2am on Sunday 7 October. If you’re travelling from QLD please account for the one hour time difference.
