Wild Weaving Workshop at Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens

The Crystal Castle is joining forces with Wild Weaving and renowned local bush regenerator Dave Rawlins on 15th December to offer you a unique experience of environmental education combined with artistic transformation.

Together with our wonderful community, we started planting our beautiful rainforest here at the Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens almost 9 years ago, and our session will begin with an informative talk about the rainforest.

Being so young, the rainforest is still too delicate to hold and support the weight of many of its climbers, so we’ll be showing you how to identify and remove some of the most notorious environmental weeds threatening biodiversity throughout our shire. Once you know what you are looking for, together we will search our part of the rainforest to find these sneaky green pests and collect them for our very own special purpose.

Using the environmental weeds, a little bit of creativity and just a dash of magic we will transform the vines into a beautiful art piece to return to the rainforest as a symbol of our efforts to restore balance and peace to our natural areas.
