Byron Shire Plastic Free July

Byron Shire Plastic Free July is a community collaborative project initiated by Santos Organics in partnership with Clean Coast Collective, Waste Free Futures, Bolsa Bags, Patagonia, Byron Shire Council and the Echo.

Byron Shire residents are encouraged to register to attempt to refuse purchasing or accumulating plastic in their daily lives for the month of July and in doing so are offered a 15% discount on all bulk items at Santos Organics.

Those registered will be provided with a ‘tag’ on July 1 that provides them with the discount.

All residents are further encouraged to join the inspiring list of events and actions happening around the shire.

The collective are hoping to accumulate 1001 tips and ideas using the Byron Love Arch throughout June and July. Will you share something with the community? Let’s strengthen the Byron Shire as a leader of the sustainability agenda and make it happen!
