The Byron Bay Brewery is holding a New Years Eve Party featuring 2 bands, Byron Shire’s own Wild Marmalade and Electrik Lemonade, and 4 DJ’s on two stages throughout the evening and into the early hours of 2013. The Dune Room and Belongil Bistro is holding a Steampunk themed night this NYE. Entertainment will include the Time Punk Dancers, Pole Catz, burlesque artists, DJ’s, Al Royale and more. This years New Year’s Eve Big Gig Comedy Festival, held at the Ballina RSL, promises to be the best one yet. Headliners include the hilarious Chris Franklin, Dave Eastgate and Jackie Loeb alongside the Big Gig Mama and MC Mandy Nolan. The show and dinner begin at 7.30pm. The Byron Bay Palace Cinema is offering an alternative way to celebrate the New Year, with an advanced screening of ‘Hitchcock’, a film based upon the novel ‘Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho’ by Stephen Rebello. At the Ocean Shores Country Club, the New Year will be welcomed with an assortment of food and entertainment.
