BYRON BAY GUITAR FESTIVAL – THIS WEEK!

New artists added to the line-up + Special price for Under 12’s + Local Luthiers on display + Mega charity raffle + A small festival with a big heart and ambitions for the future!

Byron Bay Guitar Festival (BBGF), an independently organised event that celebrates music inspired by the guitar and communities built from live music, returns on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October 2019 at the Byron Bay Brewery for its third exciting year.

Featuring Frenzal Rhomb, The Delta Riggs, Harts, Nathan Cavaleri, Chris Tamwoy, Peter Northcote, Minnie Marks, Marshall & The Fro, Sarah Koppen, Fergo & The Burden, and more, BBGF will pack the Byron Brewery to the rafters again in a celebration of all things guitar, music, beer, food, and fun.

Local. Emerging. Ambitious.

“The third instalment of the BBGF is about the new wave of young guitar players that rule our great southern land. The 30 acts billed for this year are creators of their own sound, none of which are the same. They are all passionate, influential and have worked hard to master their art,” enthuses Founder and Director Nick Sergi. “This year promises to be fun and loud”!

BBGF is proudly cementing itself as a grass-roots festival held in the heart of Byron Bay run by musicians for musicians and the local community. It celebrates being small, accessible for everyone, easy to get around, and an opportunity for local and emerging artists and craftsmen to showcase their talent, and network with industry and audiences.

“We need art and music in our world more than ever right now,” says Festival 2IC Monique Hartman. “Music and culture do so much for the economy and community; It’s important we all support and nurture those creating and producing art, especially our local artists. We’re very proud to be part of a community of producers that create another platform for people who have limited opportunities to showcase their work in regional Australia, and we’re committed to growing the festival in order to increase the volume of opportunities we can create for our musical peers”.

Sunday I Family Fun Day
Sunday has some extra special offerings for the kids, featuring local Bunny Racket and ex-Wiggle Murray Cook. Children under 12 get entry to BBGF for just $5.

Jollee joins the line-up

We’re also excited to announce Brisbane band Jollee have joined the line-up. With split lip lyrics and a devil woman attitude, Jollee takes you on a wild Wonder Woman rock n roll ride to the other side.

This humorous four-piece super team like to kick it old school, with muddy blues bass lines, powering it up with pure rock n roll. Jollee was built to bring back the old school. In the short time Jollee has been performing, they have supported the likes of Wolfmother, The Preatures, Ali Barter and more. Jollee performs at BBGF Saturday 12 October on the Main Stage.

Come along to the biggest little festival in Byron – it’s going to be a cracker!
